The 2018 Retreat Overview

Moving from the big city in 2017 to the big wild in 2018.

Set in the eastern slopes of the Cascade Mountain Range in the upper reaches of the Wenatchee River Valley, the 2018 Art of Retreat will be hosted at Camp Wenatchee in Leavenworth, WA from September 28th to September 30th. The weekend will be packed with 16 talks / education sessions across a wide array of topics in the practice, as well as 8 skill sessions, 6 communal meals, off-site activities, and late night social events. Key Event Details



Camp Wenatchee
Leavenworth, Washington
2 hours east of Seattle.


Attendees are welcome to bring their own vehicles to the site. Vehicles must be pre-approved.

Free carpools will be available and coordinated for any attendee who requests on Friday and on Sunday.


The camp has 17 different cabins, complete with mattressed bunks and fire stoves/fireplaces. Attendees will need to bring a sleeping bag or request one.

Bathrooms and showers are located in the main lodge and open 24/7.

Pre event & post event activities on site, near site, and in Seattle will also be planned and open to freely attend.

Security & Entry

Everyone will be searched upon entry. Weapons and illegal drugs are strictly prohibited. Violators will be fined, removed from the event if necessary, and barred entry to any future event.

WiFi & Electronics

Phone service on site is functional. Electric is available in most cabins and in the main lodge. A charging station will be set up for public use.




How much?

If accepted, standard entry is $250 for 2018. Scholarships available on a limited basis, as well as reduced ticket fees for accepted speakers.

What's Included?

Lodging for 2 nights, all meals, snacks, beverages, free shuttle/carpool to and from site, full access to the event activites

Staying Fueled

In addition to meals, participants will have access to water, tea, and coffee throughout the day. While some snacks will be provided, we welcome participants to also bring any additional food they wish.
